Liotipoma lifouensis is a species of small sea snail with calcareous opercula, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Colloniidae.[2]
The shell grows to a height of 4.3 mm. The shell has an ivory color and an axial structure.
Biology
This species is sexually dimorphic. Male shells have bigger tongues that block out their umbilical areas, unlike females, which have a reduced tongue for a bigger umbilical area, which they use for protecting eggs and larva.[3]
