There are several current and former military and civilian operators of the Antonov An-124 aircraft.



As of July 2025, 15 An-124s are in commercial service. 13 more are operated by the Russian military, all are still active, of which 4 with the 224th Flight unit [1]
- Russian Aerospace Force (13 active)
- Volga-Dnepr (7 of which 6 are parked, original order of 12)[2]
- Antonov Airlines (7 of which 3 parked)[3][4]
- Maximus Air Cargo (1) An-124-100 variant[3]
Military
- Russian Aerospace Forces – 13 in service, 13 in reserve.[5] In 2008, a contract was signed with Aviastar-SP for modernization of 10 aircraft by 2015.[6] As of December 2019, at least 11 aircraft were modernized. 2 on order.[7][8][9][10][11][12]
- 12th Military Transport Aviation Division
- 566th Military Transport Aviation Regiment – Seshcha air base, Bryansk Oblast[13]
- 18th Military Transport Aviation Division[14]
- 235th Military Transport Aviation Regiment – Ulyanovsk Vostochny Airport, Ulyanovsk Oblast[15]

Former military operators
- Soviet Air Force – aircraft were transferred to Russian and Ukrainian Air Forces after the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
