The whole Hungarian-Croatian army (2300–3000) is killed, Miklós IV Zrínyi is killed in the final battle. Miklós IV Zrínyi ordered a fuse be lit to the powder magazine. After cutting down the last of the defenders the Ottoman Army entered the remains of Szigetvár and fell into the trap. 3,000 Turks perished in the explosion.^[3]^[4]^[5]^[6] 20,000–30,000 Ottomans were killed. Ottomans captured Szigetvár fortress and it became part of Budin Eyalet.
