As of June 2026, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) lists 46 Extinct in the Wild plant species.[1] Approximately 0.068% of all evaluated plant species are listed as extinct in the wild. The IUCN also lists one plant subspecies as extinct in the wild.
