List of professional sports teams in Rhode Island

As of March 2024, Rhode Island has two professional sports teams, the Providence Bruins, minor league affiliate of the Boston Bruins, as well as Rhode Island FC, who compete in the USL Championship, the second tier of American soccer.

The Providence Bruins are an American Hockey League franchise and the top affiliate of the NHL's Boston Bruins. Since moving to Providence in 1992 the P-Bruins have been among the league leaders in regular season attendance.

The Ocean State's professional soccer team, Rhode Island FC, is playing its inaugural season this year at Bryant University. The team had a record of 1-9-4 in the USL Championship League as of Friday.
