The company was founded in 1995 by Dritan Hoxha to supply coffee products to the Albanian market. The business later expanded by also distributing the Italian coffee brand Illy.[2] Lori Caffe became part of the Top Media Group structure, developing in parallel with other initiatives of the media group.[2]
