Louis Hogan

Louis Hogan DSM (1921 – 21 June 2001), was an Irish Lieutenant-General who served as Chief of Staff of the Defence Forces from June 1981 to April 1984. In his early army career he commissioned into the Infantry Corps in 1941, Hogan's 44-year career included service with multiple battalions, overseas deployments to Lebanon, the Congo, Cyprus, and Syria as part of United Nations missions
