Louise Philip (born c.1968), is a former international squash player who competed for Scotland at the Commonwealth Games.
Philip played for the Ellon Squash Club in Aberdeenshire[2] where she was the first professional coach at the Ellon club,[3] although she was also a teaching assistant at University of Edinburgh's department of physical education.[4]
Aged 18 she won the 1986 Inter-area squash championship with Lothian[5] and in 1989 she retained her North of Scotland Open title.[6] She won the 1990 Abercorn Open[7] and was part of the Scottish team that gained promotion to the 1992 European Squash Team Championships,[8] after a successful campaign at the 1991 qualifier in Germany.[9]
Philip represented Scotland at the 2004 Women's World Team Squash Championships in Amsterdam[10] and the following year in 2005, she just missed out on a bronze medal at the 2005 European Squash Team Championships in Amsterdam,[11] when Scotland lost to Ireland in the bronze medal play off match.[12]
Philip represented the 2006 Scottish team[13] at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia,[14] where she competed with Frania Gillen-Buchert in the women's doubles.[15][16]
