The municipality lies at an altitude of 271 metres (889 ft)^[2] and covers an area of 10.18 km² (3.93 sq mi) (2025).^[4]

It has a population of 683 people (31 December 2025).^[6]

In year 2021 was 699 people by ethnicity 684 as Slovak, 7 as Not found out, 7 as Other, 5 as Hungarian, 4 as Czech, 2 as Rusyn, 1 as Serbian, 1 as Polish and 1 as Croatian.
