In Greek mythology, Macareus (Ancient Greek: Μακαρεύς, romanized: Makareus, lit. 'happy', 'blissful', or 'blessed'[1]) or Macar (/ˈmeɪkər/; Μάκαρ Makar) was one of the Heliadae, sons of Helios and Rhodos.
