Macfarlane is a rural locality in the Blackall-Tambo Region, Queensland, Australia.[2] In the 2021 census, Macfarlane had a population of 17 people.[1]
The Barcoo River enters the locality from the east (Tambo) and exits to the north-east (Mount Enniskillen). The locality is within the Lake Eyre drainage basin.[3]
The Landsborough Highway also enters the locality from the east (Tambo) and exits to the north-east (Mount Enniskillen), running west of the river.[4][5]
