Career
Abdusalamov originally considered becoming a wrestler, as his uncle Yusup Abdusalomov is an Olympic silver medalist in freestyle wrestling, before settling on football as his sport and joining the academy of Rodina Moscow.[1][2] He made his senior debut for Rodina in the third-tier Russian Second League in 2019, before moving to Cyprus, where he played for three seasons. He then returned to Rodina in 2024.
In the latter part of the 2025–26 Russian First League, Abdusalamov became a regular starter for Rodina and contributed to their league-winning campaign and the first-ever promotion to the Russian Premier League.
Abdusalamov made his debut in the Russian Premier League for Rodina on 25 July 2026 in a game against Spartak Moscow.[3] Spartak's manager Juan Carlos Carcedo previously coached Abdusalamov at Pafos.[1]
