Maizaniella sapoensis is a species of land snail with an operculum, a terrestrial gastropod mollusc in the family Maizaniidae.
The specific name sapoensis is named after Sapo National Park, Liberia, where it lives.[1] The species is provisionally attributed to the subgenus Spirulozania on account of the conspicuous spiral sculpture.[1] Type material is stored in the National Museum of Natural History, Leiden (Rijksmuseum van Natuurlijke Historie).[1]
Distribution
Distribution of Maizaniella sapoensis include Liberia and it is only known from the type locality, 5°20′N 8°47′W / 5.333°N 8.783°W.[1]
