History

As per the DPR of Phase-III, Majlis Park was initially planned to be an at-grade station on land that would be provided by the Delhi Police. However, this proposal had to be revised because of the non-availability of that land. Hence, it was constructed as an elevated station with a total cost of 137.86 crore (US$14 million). This led to an extra expenditure of 72.73 crore (US$7.6 million) (since the provisioned cost was 62.15 crore (US$6.5 million)).[5]
