It supports automated workflows and data exchange between services, including AI-assisted automation features such as AI agents.[1][4]

History

The project originated in Prague[5][6] and was founded by six Czech entrepreneurs: Patrik Šimek, Ondřej Gazda, Roman Bršlica, Tomáš Schel, Michal Toman, and Pavel Duras.[7][8]

Acquisition and rebranding to Make

In 2020, Integromat was acquired by the German company Celonis [9][10] for approximately $100 million (roughly 2.5 billion CZK).[11][12] After the acquisition by Celonis in 2022, Integromat was rebranded to Make.[13][14][15] Even after the acquisition, the Make platform retained its own development team based in Prague.[7] The company's workforce grew from 77 employees in 2021 to approximately 190 in 2022.[16]

Platform

Make operates as a visual automation platform that does not require coding.[3][1] It connects different systems and enables the creation of workflows through a graphical interface.[15] Automations are built using so-called “scenarios”, which consist of triggers and subsequent actions that respond to changes in applications or services.[17] Media coverage in 2024–2025 described Make’s expansion into AI-assisted automation.[18][19] In April 2025, the platform introduced AI Agents for executing tasks within automation scenarios.[20]

Some reviews have noted that the platform can be more difficult for certain users, particularly when configuring more complex workflows.[21] Lupa.cz has reported examples of the platform being used by large organizations.[15][2]

In 2020, Integromat was included in Gartner’s analytical report titled Cool Vendors in Business Process Automation, which highlights innovative tools in the field of business process automation.[22]
