Malik Benson

Malik Benson (born October 17, 2002) is an American college football wide receiver for the Oregon Ducks. He previously played for Florida State, Hutchinson Community College and Alabama.

High school career

Benson attended Lansing High School in Lansing, Kansas. During his high school career, he had 1,119 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns.

College career

Benson attended Hutchinson Community College for two years. He had 43 receptions for 1,229 yards and 11 touchdowns as a freshman and 54 receptions for 923 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns as a sophomore.[1][2] The 2,152 receiving yards was a school record.[3][4]

Benson was considered the top junior college recruit in 2023 and committed to play for the University of Alabama.[5]

On January 3, 2024, Benson announced that he would be entering the transfer portal.[6] He committed to Florida State four days later.[7]

After announcing that the NCAA had granted him an additional year of eligibility, on January 7, 2025, Benson announced his intention to transfer to Oregon.[8]
