District in Oryol Oblast, Russia From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Maloarkhangelsky District (Russian: Малоарха́нгельский райо́н) is an administrative^[1] and municipal^[4] district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Oryol Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 754.3 square kilometers (291.2 sq mi).^[2] Its administrative center is the town of Maloarkhangelsk.^[1] Population: 11,520 (2010 Census);^[3] 13,798 (2002 census);^[6] 15,558 (1989 Soviet census).^[7] The population of Maloarkhangelsk accounts for 31.4% of the district's total population.^[3]
