Life and career
MamboLosco was born in 1991 to an American military father and an Italian mother from Brindisi.[1] He wrote his first song at the age of thirteen, but began his actual musical career in 2017, founding an act named Sugo Gang in Vicenza.[2] In the same year, he achieved fame with the release of the single "Guarda come flexo".[3]
In 2018, MamboLosco featured as a guest artist on the track "Expensive", from the album Trap Lovers by Dark Polo Gang, thus giving him a wider audience.[4] Later in the year he published "Guarda come flexo 2".[5]
In 2019, the rapper released the singles "Bingo",[6] then "Arcobaleno",[7] before releasing his first studio album entitled Arte on September 13.[8] The album reached number 3 on the Italian Top Albums chart the week following the project's release.[9] In November 2020, the album was certified gold,[10] and "Twerk", single in collaboration with Boro Boro from this project, was certified platinum single.[11]
On July 3, 2020, MamboLosco and Boro Boro released the collaborative album Caldo,[12][13] which reached the 4th place in the Top National Albums the week of its release.[14] The following month, the music video for "Fallo" was released, the project's major single.[15]
