Manab Deka is a member of the Assam Legislative Assembly, in India, for the BJP, from Lakhimpur constituency, elected in the 2021 election.[1] He won the elections with 70,387 votes, defeating Dr. Joy Prakash Das from Indian National Congress who got 67,351 votes.[2] Manab Deka is being considered as outsider by many in the Lakhimpur constituency. In the 2026 election, he is pitted against Ex. MLA from Lakhimpur constituency Ghana Buragohain of the Indian National Congress and is considered to be a big contender. It has been reported that people of Lakhimpur constituency are not happy with Manab Deka and he was tipped to be dropped from BJP list for the 2026 election.
