Maria Hyde Hibbard (née, Hyde; 1820–1913) was an American educator and an executive in two women's organizations. She served as President of the New York State Woman's Christian Temperance Union (WCTU)[1] and of the New York Branch of the Woman's Foreign Missionary Society of the Methodist Episcopal Church.

Maria Hyde was born in Oxford, Chenango County, New York, September 10, 1820.[2] Her parents were Asahel Johnson Hyde (1797–1880) and Mary Osborne (Hinckley) (1798–1884). Maria's siblings were Orimal, Henry, Ammi, John, Mary, Peter, and Laura.[3] The family home had a highly spiritual and intellectual atmosphere.[1]

She was educated at the Oxford Academy.[1]
