Marin Robu (born 19 March 2000)[1] is a Moldovan weightlifter. He won the bronze medal in his event at the 2021 World Weightlifting Championships held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. He is a four-time medalist at the European Weightlifting Championships. Robu represented Moldova at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan and the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.

In 2019, he won the silver medal in the men's junior 73 kg event at the European Junior & U23 Weightlifting Championships in Bucharest, Romania.[2] A year later, he won the silver medal in the men's 73 kg event at the Roma 2020 World Cup in Rome, Italy.[1]

In 2021, he won the silver medal in the men's 73 kg event at the European Weightlifting Championships held in Moscow, Russia.[3][4]

He represented Moldova at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.[5] He competed in the men's 73 kg event and placed eighth.[5][6] He suffered a back injury in training shortly before the competition, which hampered his performance in the Clean & Jerk.[7]

He won the bronze medal in the men's 81 kg event at the 2021 World Weightlifting Championships held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.[8][9]

He also competed at the World Weightlifting Championships in 2018, 2019, 2022 and 2023.

In August 2024, Robu competed in the men's 89 kg event at the 2024 Summer Olympics held in Paris, France.[10] He lifted 383 kg in total and placed fourth, missing out 1 kg on bronze medal.[10]
