The municipality lies at an altitude of 101 metres (331 ft)^[2] and covers an area of 8.01 km² (3.09 sq mi) (2025).^[4]

It has a population of 1093 people (31 December 2025).^[6]

In year 2021 was 1058 people by ethnicity 970 as Slovak, 58 as Romani, 57 as Not found out, 5 as Rusyn, 3 as Czech, 1 as Russian, 1 as Polish and 1 as Other.
