Mary McAuliffe

McAuliffe completed her BA (Hons) in history at Trinity College Dublin.^[1][2][3] She subsequently undertook an MA and PhD at TCD.^[1][3]

McAuliffe was appointed assistant professor in gender studies at University College Dublin in 2009.^[1] She lectures on Irish women's and gender history, and the history of sexualities.^[2]

McAuliffe served as president of the Women's History Association of Ireland from 2011 to 2014, and remains a member of its committee.^[2][3][4]

McAuliffe served as a member of the advisory council of the National Archives of Ireland from 2012 to 2017.^[3][4]

McAuliffe is a member of the committee of the Irish Association of Professional Historians, currently serving as its treasurer.^[2]

McAuliffe was elected a fellow of the Royal Historical Society in 2024.^[4]
