Marzieh Arfa (Persian: مرضیه ارفع, 1901 – May 13, 1978) was the first woman in the Iranian army who reached the rank of brigadier general.[1]

Marzieh Arfa was the daughter of Abdul Razzaq Arfa, a carpet merchant, who was born in 1901 in Istanbul, Turkey. She completed her primary and secondary education in the same city. After entering the university in 1929, she graduated in the field of medicine.[2]
