MasterChef Sri Lanka is a Sri Lankan reality cooking competition based on the international MasterChef format. Produced by Reality TV Productions in association with Nilendra Deshapriya Productions, it premiered on 14 February 2026 on the Independent Television Network (ITN).[1]
The show is the 71st international adaptation of the franchise, which is owned by Banijay Entertainment.[2] The series aims to showcase Sri Lankan culinary heritage under the theme "Sri Lanka on a Plate."
The series follows the standard international MasterChef format. Amateur and home cooks compete in various culinary challenges, including "Mystery Box" challenges, "Pressure Tests," and team challenges. The inaugural season began with a "Bootcamp" phase to select the Top 20 finalists from a pool of contestants across the country.
