Matthew Kyle Watson (born September 5, 1978) is an American former Major League Baseball (MLB) outfielder who played for the New York Mets and Oakland Athletics between 2003 and 2010.
A native of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Watson attended J. P. McCaskey High School and Xavier University. In 1998 he played collegiate summer baseball with the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League.[1] He was drafted by the Montreal Expos in the 16th round of the 1999 Major League Baseball draft.
