Maurice Edward Johnson (born January 9, 1967) is an American former professional football player who was a tight end for four seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Temple Owls. He was also a member of the Frankfurt Galaxy of the World League of American Football (WLAF).
Maurice Edward Johnson was born on January 9, 1967, in Washington, D.C..[1] He attended Roosevelt High School in Washington, D.C.[1]
College career
Johnson lettered for the Temple Owls from 1986 to 1989.[1] He caught eight passes for 42 yards as a freshman in 1986.[2] He totaled 14 receptions for 151 yards and one touchdown in 1987.[2] He recorded 18 catches for 242 yards in 1988.[2] Johnson caught 31 passes for 290 yards his senior year in 1989, earning Associated Press second-team All-East honors.[3][2]
