Brannon, a funeral director, founded (1967) and operated the Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home in Calhoun, Georgia. He was also a probate court judge and a coroner for Gordon County, Georgia.[1] He served in the Georgia State Senate for district 51 from 1981 to 1991.[2] Brannon died on September 11, 2020, at the age of 86.[3]
