Ashanti Wilson-Stevenson[1] better known by her ring name Maya World, is an American professional wrestler. She is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and competes in AEW's sister promotion Ring of Honor (ROH).

Professional wrestling career
Independent circuit (2022–present)
In October 2021, World started training at DFW All-Pro Wrestling Academy, where she was trained by Lou Gotti.[2] She made her debut on August 12, 2022.[3] On March 31, 2023, World won her first championship at the promotion against Holidead.[4] On September 30, World beat Killa Kate to win the Tomahawk Pro Women's Title.[5] On January 7, 2024, World won the Inspire Pro Pure Prestige Championship in a 6-way match.[6] The next month she won the MPW Tag Team Championships alongside Kiah Dream.[7] At this point in her career she has 4 championships simultaneously. On April 20 World and Dream lost the tag team championships in a title for title match for the NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship.[8] On July 7, World lost the Lawless Darkness Championship.[9] The next month World teamed with Jada Stone naming themselves 'Spark the World' where they won the Reality of Wrestling (ROW) Women's Tag Team Championship.[10] The month after that World defeated Danny Orion to win the Inspire Pro Pure Prestige Championship.[11] 2 weeks later World won the HOT Women's Championship defeating Sheeva.[12] On May 2, 2025, World beat Mercedes Martinez to win the VIP Women's Championship.[13] On September 7 World lost the Inspire Pro Pure Prestige Championship to Oli Summers.[14] The following month she the lost VIP Women's Championship to Vert Vixen.[15] A title that she reclaimed 2 weeks later defeating Vixen and Nyla Rose.[16]
All Elite Wrestling / Ring of Honor (2023–present)
On December 16, 2023, World made her Ring of Honor (ROH) debut facing Athena in a ROH Women's World Title Proving Ground match, which World lost. Athena also became a trainer to World describing her as "one of the best in the world. She doesn’t even know it".[17][18] On July 17, 2024, World returned to ROH losing to Red Velvet.[19] 10 days later World made her All Elite Wrestling (AEW) debut on Collision where she lost to Thunder Rosa.[20] On February 12, 2025, World made her Dynamite debut losing to Megan Bayne.[21] On the November 8 episode of Collision, World teamed with Hyan in a losing effort against TayJay (Anna Jay and Tay Melo), and also appeared on the ROH tapings that took place after Collision concluded. World and Hyan were called on to replace Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize after they refused to participate in the scheduled bout with TayJay, citing objections to the booking. As Newell and Alize were not under contract, they departed the venue prior to the show. World's and Hyan's performances reportedly drew praise from AEW talent and management for their professionalism and willingness to work additional matches on short notice.[22] World and Hyan appeared in a few more matches in AEW and on December 27 they faced the Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart and Skye Blue) at AEW World's End Zero hour which the team lost, shortly after Tony Khan announced both World and Hyan were signed to the company.[23][24]
