McElderry Station otherwise known as McElderry, is an unincorporated community and historic train station located in Talladega County, Alabama. The community is named after Thomas McElderry, an officer in Andrew Jackson's army during the creek war.[2] It was associated with the Louisville and Nashville Railroad and the Alabama Mineral Division. The community also played a local role in passenger and freight service in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.[3]
