Meet Your Congress is a public affairs TV series on NBC and on the DuMont Television Network.[1] The show premiered on NBC on March 20, 1949,[2] airing Saturdays at 8pm ET. The DuMont series aired from July 8, 1953, until July 4, 1954.[citation needed] On March 1, 1953, Meet Your Congress debuted as a filmed local program on WPIX-TV on Sundays from 11 to 11:30 p.m. Eastern Time.[3]
The moderator was Blair Moody,[4] who hosted the radio and TV versions from 1946 to 1952. He died of pneumonia and heart problems on July 20, 1954.[citation needed]
The radio version, which was transcribed, featured two United States senators, a Democrat and a Republican, discussing two sides of a controversial issue.[5]
As with most DuMont series, no episodes are known to exist.[citation needed]
