The Mental Health (Scotland) Act 1984 (c. 36) was an act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom covering Scotland, comparable to the Mental Health Act 1983 which covered England and Wales.[1] It was superseded by the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003.[2]
Amendments
In December 1998, Sam Galbraith announced the establishment of a committee to review the act.[5]
