Mike P. Nelson is an American film director, screenwriter, and film editor. He is known for directing the horror films The Domestics (2018), Wrong Turn (2021) and Silent Night, Deadly Night (2025).[1][2]

Career
He directed the horror film The Domestics, starring Kate Bosworth and Tyler Hoechlin, which he wrote, edited, and directed. The film was released by Warner Bros. in 2018.[1]
In 2021, Nelson directed the reboot of the Wrong Turn horror film series, titled Wrong Turn.[3] The film premiered in theaters and on video on demand in January 2021.[4][5]
In June 2024, it was announced that Nelson would direct a new installment in the Silent Night, Deadly Night horror franchise.[6] The film, produced by Kast Media and titled Silent Night, Deadly Night, was first released on September 21, 2025, at the Fantastic Fest and subsequently released in the United States on December 12, 2025.[7][8]
Prior to his directorial career, Nelson worked as a visual effects artist. His credits include work on the films The Social Network (2010) and Take Shelter (2011).[9]
