Location and date

Tokyo Dome City Hall, the venue of the 64th Miss International pageant

The 64th Miss International pageant is scheduled to be held in Tokyo, Japan, in November 2026, with the International Culture Association, owner of the Miss International officially announcing on 1 April 2026 that the event will take place at the Tokyo Dome City Hall on 25 November 2026.[1][2][3][4]

Selection of participants

Among the delegates, seven were appointed to the position after being runner-up in their national pageant,[a] eleven were chosen through a casting process,[b] and two were selected as replacements for the original representatives.

Replacements

Emily Smith stepped down as Guam's representative and was replaced by Elise Miguel.[19][20][21] Bárbara Vázquez of Paraguay was subsequently replaced by Verónica Campos.[22][23]

Debuts and returns

This edition will mark the debut of Bhutan. Returning countries and territories for this edition included Curaçao, which last competed in 2018;[24] Guam and Zambia in 2019; Germany and Togo in 2022; and Cape Verde, Kyrgyzstan and Moldova in 2024.

Pageants

Format

On 15 June 2026, executive director Stephen Diaz announced a revised Miss International format, replacing the swimsuit competition with a sportswear segment, placing greater emphasis on on-stage interviews and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)-related projects, reducing the significance of the evening gown segment, and discontinuing the Continental Queens selection.[25][26][27][28][29]
