Mitchell Cushman

Mitchell Cushman is the founding and current artistic director of Toronto's site-specific theatre company Outside the March. He has received the Siminovitch Prize protégé award,[1] four Dora Mavor Moore awards,[2] and fourteen Toronto Theatre Critics Awards.[3]
With Outside the March, Cushman has directed over twenty productions including: Jerusalem starring Kim Coates,[4] Mr. Marmalade[5], and Haley McGee's The Ex-boyfriend Yard Sale.[6] Other directing credits include work at the Stratford Festival,[7] Talk is Free Theatre,[8] and the National Arts Centre.[9]
Personal life
Cushman is the son of former National Post theatre critic, Robert Cushman.[10] He is also a triplet.[11]
