Monococcus is a monotypic genus of flowering plants belonging to the family Petiveriaceae. The only species is Monococcus echinophorus.[1]

Its native range is Eastern Australia (Queensland and New South Wales) to the Southwestern Pacific (New Caledonia and Vanuatu).[1]
