Monument is a 2026 film written by Alena Alova and directed by Bryan Singer. It stars Joe Mazzello, Jon Voight, Aviv Pinkas, Ori Pfeffer, Alon Aboutboul and Igal Naor.
Monument opened on March 20, 2026, in New York City and Somerset County, New Jersey[1]. It was described as a "surprise film" and received very little marketing or promotion.[2]
The film was Singer's first film in eight years, following a career break after sexual abuse allegations.[3][4] It was filmed in Greece in late 2023.[3]
Plot
Monument is set in 1999 and tells the story of Israeli architect Yaakov Rechter being commissioned to design a monument honoring fallen soldiers of the Christian South Lebanon Army. His son and apprentice suggests he build a memorial for both Christian and Muslim victims of the war.
Reception
Box office numbers are not currently available. The film has not have enough reviews on Rotten Tomatoes or Metacritic for a critical consensus on either site.[5][6]
