Moruf Akinderu Fatai is a Nigerian politician. He was a member of the House of Representatives in the National Assembly, representing Oshodi-Isolo I constituency of Lagos State during the 7th Assembly from 2011 to 2015. In 2023, he was sworn in as the Commissioner for Housing in Lagos State.[1][2][3]
Political career
He served as a member representing Oshodi–Isolo I Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Nigeria. In 2023, Moruf Akinderu Fatai was appointed Commissioner for Housing in Lagos State by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Since his appointment, he has overseen housing policy and programmes aimed at increasing housing delivery and encouraging collaboration with the private sector to address the state's housing deficit.[4][5][6][7][8]
Community impacts
Akinderu Fatai distributed examination preparation materials to 1,035 final-year secondary school students from seven public schools in Oshodi ahead of the 2014 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).In 2012, he organised an Elderly Support Programme in Oshodi, during which he called for improved social security and welfare for older persons in Nigeria.[9][10]
