Mukhtorkhon Tashkhodjaev (Uzbek: Muxtorxon Tashxodjaev; Russian: Мухторхон Ташходжаев; born 21 September 1983) is an Uzbek. He is the chairman of the National Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan;[1] the vice-president of the Asian Paralympic Committee and[2][3] Chairman of Adaptive sports Association of Uzbekistan, the chairman of the supervisory board of Kokand University. He is an Honored sports teacher in the Republic of Uzbekistan and a winner of a number of state awards.
Tashkhodjaev was born on September 21, 1983, in Kokand, to a family of intellectuals. From 2002 to 2009, he was a student of the Tashkent State University of Economics, during which he studied at the bachelor's and master's levels.[4]
Career
He started his career in 2004 as an engineer of information technology and distance learning center of Tashkent State University of Economics.
- In 2009–2010, he was an assistant at the corporate management department of Tashkent State University of Economics.
- In 2010–2011, he became an assistant Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
- He was a researcher at Tashkent State University of Economics in 2011–2012.
- In 2012–2014, he was a senior lecturer at Tashkent State University of Economics, Department of Corporate Management and Competition Development.
- In 2014-2014, Associate Professor of the Department of Corporate Management and Competition Development of Tashkent State University of Economics.
- In 2014-2014, deputy dean of the Faculty of Banking of Tashkent State University of Economics.
- In 2014–2016, he was the Dean of the Faculty of Banking at Tashkent State University of Economics.
- In 2016–2020, he was the dean of the Faculty of Corporate Management of the Tashkent State University of Economics.
- Deputy Chairman of the National Paralympic Association of Uzbekistan in 2013–2019.
- Chairman of the National Paralympic Association of Uzbekistan in 2019–2021.
- 2019–present vice-president of the Asian Paralympic Committee.[5][6]
- May 25, 2021 – the present time is the chairman of the National Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan.[7]
Mukhtarkhan Tashkhodjaev took the activities of the National Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan to a new level. Under his leadership, the Uzbek Paralympians won 8 gold, 5 silver and 6 bronze medals at the 2020 Summer Paralympic Games; a total of 19 medals, and took 16th place in the world ranking. In 2021, Mukhtorkhan Tashkhodjaev was awarded the honorary title of Sports Coach of the Republic of Uzbekistan by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for his services in the development of Paralympic sports.[8][9]
- On June 1, 2023, he became the deputy director of the National Social Protection Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
