Mutterstadt (German pronunciation: [ˈmʊtɐʃtat]) is a municipality in the Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Though classified as rural the municipality does contain urbanized areas.
It is situated approximately 7 km southwest of the city center of Ludwigshafen.
