Mykola Hreshta (Ukrainian: Микола Петрович Грешта; born 25 February 1984) is a former footballer from Ukraine who played as a defender.
Poland
Hreshta began his career in 2001 with Karpaty-2 Lviv in the Ukrainian First League, and with Karpaty-3 Lviv in the Ukrainian Second League.[1] In 2003, he made his debut in the Ukrainian Premier League for the senior team of Karpaty Lviv. He returned to the Ukrainian First League in 2005, to play with FC Skala Stryi. He also played with Enerhetyk Burshtyn, Nyva Ternopil.
After he departed from Nyva Ternopil, he played in the Lviv regional league with Halychyna Lviv.[2] He played the remainder of the 2008 season with Rava Rava-Ruska and won the league title.[3]
After 4 years, in 2009, he went abroad to Poland and signed with Spartakus Szarowola in the III liga.[4][5]
In 2009, he returned to Ukraine to play in the Ukrainian Second League, and Ukrainian Football Amateur League with Shakhtar Chervonograd, Karpaty Kolomyia, Rukh Vynnyky, Karpaty Kamenka-Bug, CCM Demnya.
In 2014, he joined the Polish side Wkra Żuromin and competed in the IV liga for two seasons.[6]
Canada
In the summer of 2016, he played in the Canadian Soccer League with FC Ukraine United.[7] In his debut season in the Canadian circuit, he helped the club secure a playoff berth by finishing second in the league's first division.[8] Their playoff campaign would conclude in the semi-finals after a defeat by the Serbian White Eagles.[9]
The following season, the club competed in the league's second division, where they defeated Burlington SC for the championship.[10] Hreshta re-signed with FC Ukraine United in 2018, when the club rejoined the league's first division.[11] He helped the club secure the divisional title.[12][13] However, the Toronto side was eliminated from the postseason in the second round by Scarborough SC.[14]
