Professional wrestling career

Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (2021–present)

Panterita del Ring Jr.'s first documented match took place on 28 April 2021 at Rey Bucanero's wrestling school in Ecatepec.[5] Just a month later, he made his Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) debut at Arena México, teaming with his father, Panterita del Ring, in the Copa Dinastías tournament.[6] He gained his first title later that year, capturing the Mexican National Lightweight Championship.[7] In December 2022, he partnered with Místico to win the Torneo Gran Alternativa, an annual tournament that pairs younger wrestlers with veterans.[8]

In May 2023, Panterita vacated the lightweight title as part of a move to the welterweight division.[9] The following month, he adopted a new identity, Máscara Dorada 2.0, the original name being previously used by Gran Metalik.[10] By the end of the year, he had dropped the "2.0" and began competing simply as Máscara Dorada. That July, he won the Leyenda de Plata tournament, defeating Rocky Romero in the final.[11] The two met again in December, with Dorada once again defeating Romero, this time to claim the World Historic Welterweight Championship.[12] During this period, he also made appearances for CMLL's partner promotions, including New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) and All Elite Wrestling (AEW).[13][14]

Dorada's momentum continued into 2024. In April, he entered the Universal Championship, a tournament for CMLL title holders, and won the final by defeating Magnus and Titán in a three-way elimination match.[15] Three months later, he teamed up with Neón and Star Jr. to win the CMLL World Trios Championship, becoming a double champion in CMLL.[16] Their reign lasted two months, ending with a title loss in September.[17] That same month, Dorada lost to Titán in the Copa Independencia tournament final at the CMLL 91st Anniversary Show.[18]

In May 2025, he captured the World Trios Championship for a second time, this time alongside Místico and Neón, a trio known as El Sky Team, beginning his second reign as double champion.[19] Later that month, he also competed in the final of the Copa Junior VIP tournament, where he lost to Zandokan Jr.[20]

New Japan Pro-Wrestling (2023–present)

On 10 November 2023 at Lonestar Shootout, Dorada made his New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) debut, teaming with Tiger Mask and Atlantis to defeat Hechicero, Rocky Romero and Último Guerrero.[21] Dorada would also participate in the co-promoted CMLL and NJPW tour series Fantastica Mania, competed in various matches, teaming with and facing both CMLL and NJPW representatives.

All Elite Wrestling (2024–present)

In January 2024, it was announced the CMLL stars, Dorada, Hechicero, Místico, and Volador Jr. would represent their home promotion, in American partner promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW).[22] The four men made their debut on the 31 January episode of Dynamite, appearing ringside during Jon Moxley's singles match against Jeff Hardy. After being taunted by Moxley during the match, the four men attacked him after his victory, before being chased off by members of the AEW roster.[23] The four men made their AEW in-ring debut during the 2 February episode of Rampage, defeating Christopher Daniels, Matt Sydal, Angelo Parker and Matt Menard, in an 8-man tag-team match.[24]

On the 28 May 2025 episode of Collision, Dorada defeated Hechicero to qualify for the four-way match to challenge Kenny Omega for the AEW International Championship on 4 June at Dynamite: Fyter Fest, where Dorada failed to win the title.[25][26] On 17 September at Dynamite: September to Remember, Dorada defeated The Beast Mortos to advance to an AEW Unified Championship three-way match including Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita at All Out on 20 September, but failed to win the title at the event.[27][28] On 24 November, Dorada was announced as a participant in the 2025 Continental Classic, where he was placed in the Blue League.[29] Dorada finished the tournament with 6 points, but failed to advance to the semi-finals.[30]

In January 2026, Dorada announced on CMLL's weekly magazine show Informa that he had signed with AEW, while also keeping his contract with CMLL.[31]
