Nalin Prabhat

Nalin Prabhat (born 14 March 1968[1]) is an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the 1992 batch of Andhra Pradesh cadre. He served as the director general of the National Security Guard from 1 May 2024 to 15 August 2024.[2][3][4] Thereafter, he was transferred to AGMUT cadre to be appointed as director general of Jammu and Kashmir Police and took the charge on 1 October 2024.[5]

Early life and education
Nalin Prabhat was born in 1968 in the dhungri Village of Manali.[6][7] He completed his B.A. (Honours) and M.A. from St. Stephen's College.[1]
