Neda Matian

Neda Matian (ندا ماتیان; born 1983) is an Iranian calligrapher and visual artist based in the United Arab Emirates.[1] Matian was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1983.[2] She began painting at a young age and later studied calligraphy.[2] By 2025, Matian resided in the United Arab Emirates.[1]

Work
Matian's art is known for combining traditional Persian and Arabic calligraphy with contemporary painting styles.[3] Matian was listed among the selected artists for the exhibition Contemporary Venice - 13th edition.[4] In 2025, she performed a live calligraphy presentation at Art Smiley Gallery's Abstract Universe exhibition in Dubai.[1]
