The municipality lies at an altitude of 180 metres (590 ft)^[2] and covers an area of 7.00 km² (2.70 sq mi) (2025).^[4]

It has a population of 614 people (31 December 2025).^[6]

In year 2021 was 612 people by ethnicity 607 as Slovak, 3 as Not found out, 2 as Hungarian, 2 as Other, 1 as Romani, 1 as Russian, 1 as Romanian and 1 as German.
