Neha Bora

Neha or Neha Bora is an Indian student activist. She is currently serving as the All India President of the All India Students' Association.[1]

Education
She hails from Uttarakhand, and is also a theatre artist.[1][2] She completed her BA from Delhi University, MA from Ambedkar University and is pursuing a PhD at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in School of Arts and Aesthetics.[1]
Student Activism
Neha Bora gained national prominence through her involvement in the 2026 Gen Z protests in New Delhi [3] or 2026 Delhi Jantar Mantar protests, which demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, over allegations related to paper leaks and NEET exam irregularities.[3] Along with Sonam Wangchuk, she undertook a 23-day hunger strike in the national capital.[4][5] She started her hunger strike protest weighing 66 kilograms, and have lost around 7.5 kilograms by the end of it, and reached worrying levels of blood pressure.[2] She is regarded as instrumental in building a social movement that originated from a meme and political satire campaign circulated through the Cockroach Janta Party.[6] She also demanded the resignation of Delhi Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar, alleging police brutality against the student and youth during the 2026 'Sansad Chalo' march organized by Cockroach Janta Party.[7]
She has been seen speaking out on issues such as the privatization of education, mob lynching, paper leak, justice for Bilkis Bano and the Gaza humanitarian crisis.[8][4][9][10][11][12]
