Neil Frankland

Frankland began playing squash at the age of eight-years old^[2] and began coaching full-time aged 20.^[2] He was the 1999/2000 national singles champion at the Scottish National Squash Championships.^[3][4]

Frankland was a regular with the Scottish international team and ^[5] and helped Scotland reach the semi-finals of the 2001 Men's World Team Squash Championships in Australia.^[6]

Frankland represented the 2002 Scottish team^[7] at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, England, where he competed in the singles, men's doubles and mixed doubles events^[8] and reached the quarter-fnals of the doubles, partnering Martin Heath.^[9]

Frankland was based in England at played his squash in Surrey for the Horsham club^[10] but in 2003 was ranked number 1 in Scotland.^[11]

At international retirement he had won 49 caps for Scotland^[12] although he continued to play squash at Masters level.^[2] He also served as the Director of Squash at Surrey Squash and coached at Nuffield West Byfleet, Epsom College and Charterhouse School.^[12]
