Neupane (Nepali: न्यौपाने) is a surname used by the Pahadi people of Nepal.[1] It belongs to the Bahun and Khatri (KC) groups.[2] The surname is believed to have originated in the ancient Jumla kingdom.[3] Neupane families follow the Kaudinya gotra.[4]
