New Hope (Macau)

New Hope (NE, Portuguese: Nova Esperança, Chinese: 新希望; Jyutping: san1 hei1mong6) is a political party in Macau. Its leader, José Pereira Coutinho, has served in the Legislative Assembly since 2005.[3] In the most recent election on 14 September 2025, the party won 26.73% of the popular vote and 3 out of 14 directly elected seats.[4] The party is the sole representative of the pro-democracy camp in the Macau Assembly.
