Originally, three Jewish cemeteries existed in Żarki; only the cemetery on Polna Street — commonly referred to as the New Jewish Cemetery — has survived[1]. The cemetery was established in 1821, covers an unfenced area of 1.5 hectares, and contains more than 700 preserved tombstones to this day[2]. The oldest surviving gravestone dates from 1835.[3]

The site is currently unfenced and remains accessible.[4]
